Submerged Sonic - written by Bob Forward
Robotnik in his so-called Supreme Sea Submergeable Robo-Sub plans to capture the Undersea City of Labyrinth. He first captures Princess Bubbles, the King's daughter and a water-creature's (named Surf) love.
Robotnik threatens the King to give him the city (that contains the Power Stones) if he wants his daughter back safely. Surf went to the surface and banged straight into Sonic in time. He relate what had happened and went quickly in the sea.
After some fights with the badniks and a sting ray, Robotnik is quite mad this time. Sonic in Surf's sub turned quickly to Robotnik's. Thinking that they want to ram into the Robo-Sub, Robotnik commands the sub to go with full-speed to bang into them.
Sonic takes out the Power Stones (that can explode in 5 seconds), threw it out at Robo-Sub and destroys it completely.
The King was very happy and gave Surf the Commander rank. Surf married Princess Bubbles (which the King refused and hate before) and lives happily with Sonic and Tails beside them.
Then, the last
scene shows Robotnik, Scratch and Grounder in a small boat with
him groaning 'I hate that hedgehog!'
